POLO AIR INDONESIA, Moscow (RUS), October 30, 2012 –
The 2013 season of the FINA Men’s Water Polo World League kicks off tomorrow
with the first home and away games of the three European groups. In Group A,
Greece will face Turkey in Athens on October 31 while Croatia receives
Montenegro in Zagreb. In Group B, Germany will meet Serbia in Hamburg. In Group
C, Italy will play against Russia in Savona and Romania will face Hungary in
Oradea.
In a second round of matches (on November 3), Turkey and Croatia will play in Istanbul (Group A), Montenegro and Greece in Budva (Group A), Serbia and Spain in Belgrade (Group B), Russia and Romania in Kirishi (Group C) and finally, Hungary and Italy in Szekesfehervar (Group C).
The four other rounds for these groups are scheduled for January 30, February 2 and March 27 and 30, 2013.
The composition of the European Groups of the 2013 Men’s World League is as follows:
GROUP A – Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Montenegro
GROUP B – Spain, Germany, Serbia
GROUP C – Romania, Italy, Russia, Hungary
Moreover, preliminary rounds will be organised from March to May 2013 in the Americas between the teams of Brazil, Canada and USA (location to be confirmed) and Asia/Oceania between Australia, China, Japan and New Zealand in Auckland (NLZ). The Super Final of the competition is scheduled for June 11-16, 2013 (city to be confirmed).
